Chris Madans was born in Chicago, Illinois. She is a graduate of U.C.L.A (B.A.), attended the University of Sussex, England (Abroad Fellowship) and graduated from the University of Texas, Austin (M..A). She has taught art history survey courses and studio classes in various colleges and universities In Southern California since 1973.
She lives in Los Angeles where she has exhibited widely.
